You can make huge savings on airline and hotel prices just by being aware of the time of year you will be traveling. Avoid traveling during times when the majority of people have time off. Every vacation spot has its own peak season. Hawaiis peak season is approximately from June to the middle of September and from the middle of December to through January. For discount Hawaii vacations, steer clear of travel during these times. Instead, make Hawaii your destination from November to the middle December or from January to March.
If it is impossible for you to travel during these months, you can still save money but discount Hawaii vacations may be more difficult to find. For prices in between the low season and peak season (where saving is still possible) travel to the Aloha state during the months of April to May or the middle of September through October.
However, before you commit to buying any airline tickets, make sure you are going to have hotel accommodations. Hotels in Hawaii will usually follow the rules of peak season/low season, however, there may be special circumstances that can prevent you from getting discounted lodging. Make sure you are not vacationing on an island where a large convention is being held. If this is the case, you may find yourself paying higher prices or unable to find lodging.
